Three ways we work together.

Every engagement is one-on-one, owner to owner. Pick the door that matches where you are today.

For buyers

Buying a practice

The biggest check you'll ever write deserves more scrutiny than a broker's summary sheet. We evaluate the practice like an owner would — because that's what you're about to become.

What's included

  • Financial due diligence — production, collections, AR, overhead, and payer mix
  • Chart and patient-base review — active patients, attrition risk, treatment mix
  • Staff, equipment, and lease evaluation
  • Negotiation and letter-of-intent support
  • Closing-to-day-one transition plan
You walk away with A clear go/no-go recommendation on the deal, and a first-100-days plan if you proceed.
For founders

Starting a practice

A startup gives you a blank canvas — and a thousand decisions, each with a price tag. We sequence them so you open on time, on budget, and with systems already running.

What's included

  • Site selection and local demographics analysis
  • Buildout and equipment planning
  • Budget and financing preparation
  • Systems setup — scheduling, fees, and practice software (including Open Dental)
  • Opening-day team and marketing plan
You walk away with A launch roadmap that takes you from empty shell to first patient — in order, with budgets attached.
For new owners

Running it well

The first years of ownership are where good practices are made — or where owners burn out. We install the numbers, systems, and leadership habits that make the practice work for you.

What's included

  • KPI dashboard and monthly numbers review
  • Scheduling and production optimization
  • Team hiring, training, and culture building
  • Fee and insurance strategy
  • Regular owner coaching cadence
You walk away with A practice that runs on systems, not adrenaline — and an owner who knows the numbers cold.
A note on pricing: every engagement is scoped on a free discovery call — most clients start with a one-time practice assessment or a monthly coaching retainer. Detailed packages and pricing are coming soon.
FAQ

Common questions

I already have a broker. Do I still need you?

Brokers are paid when the deal closes — usually by the seller. That doesn't make them dishonest, but it does make them motivated. My role is to be the one advisor in the deal whose only incentive is that ownership goes well for you, including telling you to walk away.

How early is too early to talk?

There's no such thing. If ownership is even a maybe in the next few years, an early conversation costs you 30 minutes and usually saves you from the most expensive category of mistake: the one you make before you knew what to ask.

Do you work with dentists outside your area?

Yes. Assessments and coaching work well over video, and the numbers read the same everywhere. For startups and acquisitions, site visits can be arranged when the deal warrants it.

What does it cost?

It depends on the engagement — a one-time deal assessment is scoped differently than a year of coaching. We'll talk specifics on the discovery call, and you'll always know the full cost before committing. The discovery call itself is free.

Do you only work with buyers?

No — about a third of the work is with dentists who already own and want their practice to run better. If you're past the purchase and deep in the "now what," that's exactly what the Running it well engagement is for.

Not sure which door is yours?

That's what the discovery call is for. Free, 30 minutes, no pitch.
